Introducing the All-New Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift
On November 17, 2023, in Johannesburg, South Africa, the Nissan Magnite, a popular and stylish compact SUV, introduced a new range to inspire more road adventures.
Nissan South Africa has unveiled its latest model update, the new Magnite Non-Turbo EZ-Shift (2 Pedal "AMT"), available in three grades. This new model features an automated manual transmission (AMT) for a smooth and comfortable driving experience.
The new Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift stands out as the most affordable 2-pedal SUV in the market. It has a 1.0-litre non-turbo engine and automated manual transmission, offering features almost identical to the existing 1.0L non-turbo engine grades (Visia, Acenta, and Acenta Plus).
Stefan Haasbroek, Marketing Director at Nissan Africa, expressed excitement about the launch, stating, "We are thrilled to introduce the new Magnite EZ-Shift, which builds upon Nissan's global SUV heritage and advanced technology. It delivers a feature-rich crossover experience with style and presence."
Haasbroek added, "The newer budget models each feature a naturally aspirated engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The new 5-speed AMT fills the gap between the manual and continuously variable transmission (CVT) variants."
Continuing its reputation as South Africa's most affordable compact SUV range, the Magnite incorporates the latest Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) technology and maintains its legacy as a game-changer.
This new range reaffirms that the Magnite remains the ideal companion for urban adventures, offering impressive performance specs and cutting-edge onboard technology.
Haasbroek highlighted, "The new Magnite EZ-Shift exudes boldness from every angle, featuring a 2-tone exterior, chrome door handles for the Acenta grade, and LED lights for the Acenta Plus model, which is a premium offering with a dynamic road presence."
It includes dual front airbags, meeting the safety requirements governing bodies worldwide impose on entry-to-mid-level vehicles in the segment.
The new Magnite EZ-Shift is now available at local retailers, with prices ranging from R243,900 for the entry-level Magnite 1.0 Visia to R279,900 for the Magnite 1.0 Acenta Plus EZ-Shift model.
