Porsche Celebrates A Decade Of Panamera
These days anniversaries are big deals in the motoring world. An anniversary is the perfect excuse to make a ‘special edition’ model and charge customers exorbitant prices for it. Porsche has been known to be good at doing both of these, and their latest anniversary is no exception. Say hello to the Porsche Panamera 10 Years Edition.
The Porsche Panamera was first introduced to the world in 2009. It was a car that you either loved or hated. Whichever side of the fence you found yourself on, there was no denying the appeal of its unconventional ‘four front-seat’ interior and the equally splendid V8 engine that powered it. It’s been a decade since then and the Panamera has evolved into a precise four-door that’s just as much of a Porsche as a 911, but as far as special editions go the Panamera 10 Years Edition is rather lacklustre. There are no power increases or crazy modifications, or even a mad palette of paint finishes.
Instead, the special Panamera flaunts a few exclusive logos, a new set of wheels and a more generous list of features that are usually found on the optional extras list of a regular Panamera. The new wheels are a set of 21-inch Sport Design wheels finished in satin-gloss White Gold Metallic, which are paired with matching white gold stitching on the inside. Another way to identify the special edition is the "Panamera 10" logos which can be found on the front doors and sills, or scattered across the cabin. The list of kit on the car includes heated 14-way power front seats, soft-close doors, a Bose audio system, panoramic roof, privacy glass, and a collection of driver-assist features such as LED matrix headlights, Lane Change Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and Park Assist.
The first deliveries of the Porsche Panamera 10 Years Edition will take place in the first quarter of 2020.
