Peugeot has added a limited edition model to their 3008 range, in the form of the Peugeot 3008 1.2-litre Active.

The Active 1.2T is the most affordable model in the award-winning 3008 line-up– coming in R45 000 cheaper than the 1.6T, and brings with it, sporty styling, extensive specification and exceptional economy.

The limited edition model is specced just as generously as the rest of the 3008 range, and includes 17-inch wheels, rear parking sensors, automatic emergency braking and dual zone climate control. It also features Peugeot’s award-winning i-Cockpit which includes a multi-function steering wheel and a 12.3” digital instrument cluster. There is also a centrally mounted 8-inch colour touchscreen, which incorporates Apple Carplay, Android Auto and Bluetooth.

The 3008, which was voted 2017 Women’s Car of the Year, brims with practicality. Apart from having a spacious cabin, its boot will happily swallow 591 litres of luggage with the rear seats up and 1670 litres with them folded flat. The Active also gets a handy fold-flat front passenger seat and with 60/40 split rear seats and the boot floor that can be raised and lowered, it has enough space for every occasion.

The Active 1.2 is powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo-charged petrol motor, that produces 96kw and 230nm, and sends power to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. It’s claimed to be capable of a top speed of 188kph, and return fuel economy figures of just 5.5L/100kms. This is the only model in the 3008 range that uses this motor, as the two other motors available are the 110kw 2.0-litre turbodiesel and a 121kw 1.6-litre turbo petrol.

There has been no compromise on standard safety features on the 1.2-litre Active, and includes 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, emergency brake assist, traction control, Dynamic Stability Control and Electronic Stability Programme. Road sign detection, driver attention alert, lane departure warning, driver attention fatigue warning and ISOFIX child seat mounts all come as standard.

“In today’s tough economy price is being considered more and more when purchasing a vehicle said Francisco Gaie, MD of Peugeot Citroën South Africa. The Limited Edition 3008 1.2-litre Active offers a more affordable and economical option, without compromising on the quality and specification the rest of the range has to offer. As the badge implies this vehicle will be brought in in limited quantities and will be available until stock runs out”.

The 3008 1.2 Active is priced at R369 900 and includes a 3 year/100 000km warranty and a 4 year/60 000km service plan as standard. Peugeot is aiming to make purchasing as simple as possible, and have setup a website, where you can reserve your 3008 online to make a direct purchase: https://wecometoyou.co.za/limited_3008_9087.html.

A finance option with a long-term lease is also available. Once the reservation is made a confirmation mail will be received and the order will be completed at the point of sale chosen by the customer.
