Citroën C3 Levels Up: New Look, New Tech, New Drive
Citroën is shaking things up in the compact car segment with a refreshed C3 boasting new technology, enhanced safety features, and a first-ever turbocharged automatic option for South African drivers.
The French automaker clearly has its sights set on conquering the market, with the C3 receiving praise as the "Biggest Achiever of the Year" in passenger car sales at the recent naamsa Accelerator Awards. This updated model aims to build on that success.
So, what's new? Comfort and convenience get a boost with automatic air conditioning, auto-folding mirrors, and handy roof grab handles now available on certain trims. Exterior styling is sharpened with the addition of LED projector headlights and integrated indicators in the mirrors.
Citroën hasn't skimped on safety either. The new C3 comes standard with an impressive array of safety equipment, including six airbags, three-point seatbelts for all passengers, ISOFIX anchors, and ABS with EBD across the range.
The automatic version adds Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) to the mix, providing an extra layer of safety.
But the biggest news is undoubtedly the introduction of a six-speed automatic gearbox, paired with Citroën's lively 1.2-litre Turbocharged PureTech engine. This potent combination delivers 81kW and 205Nm of torque, promising a peppy and refined driving experience.
While embracing these new additions, Citroën has wisely retained the C3's winning formula. The spacious cabin, comfortable ride thanks to the "Advanced Comfort" suspension, and the user-friendly 10-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are all carried over.
Citroën is also keeping customization front and centre, offering a wide range of options to personalize the C3. Metallic paint and a stylish dual-tone roof are now included at no extra cost, adding to the car's appeal.

The updated C3 range comes with a 2-year/30,000 km service plan and a 5-year/100,000km warranty, providing buyers with peace of mind.
