New Citroën Aircross: Family-Friendly and Feature-Packed
Citroën South Africa has launched an updated Aircross SUV, offering a compelling blend of practicality, style, and affordability to the competitive compact crossover market.
With a starting price of just R269,900, the Aircross presents a strong value proposition for families and adventurers alike.
This refreshed model introduces a new entry-level variant, powered by a frugal 61kW Puretech engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
This joins the existing 1.2-litre, 81kW Puretech turbo engine, which delivers a punchy 205Nm of torque and is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Available in both five and seven-seat configurations, the Aircross caters to a variety of needs. The optional 5+2 seating arrangement provides added flexibility, with removable third-row seats allowing for increased cargo space when needed. This makes the Aircross one of the few SUVs in its price bracket to offer seven-seat capacity.
Citroën has enhanced the Aircross MAX versions with a host of new features. LED projector headlamps improve visibility, while automatic climate control ensures a comfortable cabin environment. Convenience is further enhanced with power-folding mirrors, rear air-conditioning vents, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
Safety remains a key focus, with features like six airbags, Hill Hold Control, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) available depending on the trim level.
The Aircross retains its distinctive SUV styling, with a bold and muscular design. Inside, the cabin offers a spacious and comfortable environment, boasting a generous 444-litre boot (511 litres for the seven-seater).
