Maserati Levante Hybrid gets revealed

In a digital premier from Shanghai Auto Show, Maserati took off the wraps of their Levante Hybrid. This will be the second electrified vehicle to come out of the Italian brand, with the first being their electrified Ghibli Hybrid. The Levante Hybrid is set to be faster than a diesel engine as well as more sustainable than both diesel and petrol.

This Maserati SUV has already made a major impact on the brand and has racked up some record-breaking figures.  Maserati being a company known for their innovation will pursue its electrification philosophy with the Levante, aiming at improving its performance while still staying true to the brands values.

The Levante Hybrid will come packed with a 4-cylinder. 2-litre engine and a 48-volt hybrid system which will be used to recover energy deceleration and braking. Maserati has claimed that this hybrid vehicle will weigh less than its 6-cylinder engine half, meaning that the vehicle will have a better weight distribution. The Levante Hybrid claims a power output of 246kW and 450 Nm torque which will be delivered from just 2,250 rpm. The Levante Hybrid will only be available in all-wheel drive and has claimed an impressive top speed of over 240 km/h and a 0 to 100km/h time of just 6 seconds.

As for appearance goes, the Levante Hybrid will get a new metallic tri-coat colour called Azzurro Astro, which will be part of the brand’s customisation plan, Maserati Fuoriserie. Other details in the exterior and interior will be instantly recognizable to Maserati’s Ghibli hybrid, meaning that the brand has established a staple appearance for their hybrid vehicles. The Levante Hybrid will get blue characteristics on its side air ducts, brake callipers and the C-pillar logo. This same blue shade will also reappear within the vehicle’s interior, mainly on the embroidered seams of the seats.

Inside, the Levante Hybrid will get the latest Maserati Connect program. This means that the Levante Hybrid will stay always connected enabling the driver to keep an eye out for vehicle's health. Maserati Connect will also alert the driver when a service is due, improving the brand’s customer care experience. The Maserati Connect App will also be available on smartphones and smart watches, meaning that the driver will also be contact with their vehicle.

Maserati has ensured that the Levante Hybrid’s digital premier will be special as they will be bring iconic football legend and Maserati Brand Global Ambassador, David Beckham, to speak as this eventful moment.
