BMW M4 GT4's Successful Debut and EVO Plans
In its inaugural season, the BMW M4 GT4 from the G82 model series based in Munich proved a resounding success under the skilled hands of BMW M Motorsport teams worldwide. The car clinched over 180 podium finishes, including an impressive tally of over 70 class victories. Due to the remarkable customer demand, BMW M Motorsport has decided to produce an additional 50 units of this great car, with plans already underway for an EVO model of the BMW M4 GT4.
Throughout the season, BMW M Motorsport teams secured numerous victories and championship titles across Germany, Europe, Asia, and North America. Some of the notable achievements include FK Performance Motorsport's triumph in the SP10 class at the 24h Nürburgring, an overall SP10 victory in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS), GT4 European Series title for Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport, Turner Motorsport's victories in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, Auto Technic Racing's GT4 America title win, and YZ Racing with BMW Team Studie's victory in the GT4 Asia series.
Björn Lellmann, Head of Customer Racing at BMW M Motorsport, expressed his delight, saying, "What an incredible debut year for the new BMW M4 GT4! While we had confidence in the car's abilities from the outset, the sheer number of victories and titles our teams and drivers secured exceeded our expectations. However, we aren't resting on our laurels. To meet the high demand, we're currently manufacturing 50 units of the BMW M4 GT4, which is set to be delivered in 2024. Moreover, we're excited to announce the development of an EVO version of the BMW M4 GT4 following the success of the BMW M4 GT3. We aim to enhance an already formidable car with valuable customer input."
BMW M Motorsport is already in the planning stages for the BMW M4 GT4 EVO, and further details about the improvements over the current model will be revealed in due course.
