After 14 years, the Bentley Continental GT has been redesigned from top to bottom.
It sports a new face reminiscent of the stunning EXP10 Speed 6 concept, a completely new interior, and an 8-speed DCT for the first time ever. Power comes from the familiar W12 turbocharged 6.0-litre found in the Bentayga, and here it outputs 467kw/900nm.
For the first time ever, it’s been equipped with launch control, and because of it - and the all-wheel drive - it will sprint from 0-100kph in just 3.7 seconds and max out at 333kph.
The elongated, flattened new body is made mostly from aluminium, and shares its underpinnings with the new Porsche Panamera. In fact, the new Continental GT has shed some 80kgs over its predecessor.
The four-seater Grand Tourer is expected to reach SA before the middle of 2018, and carry a price tag of R3 395 000.
