2025 Audi A3 Arrives with Upgraded Tech and a Refined Interior
The Audi A3 Sportback and A3 Sedan are receiving a stylish refresh for 2025, boasting a sportier design, upgraded interiors, and a simplified lineup for easier customer choices.
While pricing details are still under wraps, Audi promises enhanced standard equipment and a new Black Edition variant to add some flair.
The A3's facelift emphasizes a wider and more dynamic stance. A redesigned hexagonal Singleframe grille, now flatter and wider, dominates the front fascia alongside larger air intakes. The headlights are slimmer, featuring striking 24-pixel digital daytime running lights with customizable signatures. At the rear, a new bumper and diffuser design further accentuate the A3's athleticism. A new "District Green" exterior color option adds to the sporty palette.
Inside, the A3's cabin gets a significant makeover with a focus on refined details and improved technology. A redesigned center console, new door handles, and chrome-finished air vents contribute to a more premium feel. The standard equipment list now includes a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting package, comfort key, and a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel.
Audi has also introduced an innovative illuminated fabric panel in the doors, offering 30 selectable colors for a personalized touch. The standard SONOS sound system promises an immersive audio experience with strategically placed speakers in the doors.
The 2025 A3 incorporates sustainable materials, including a fabric inlay made from 100% recycled polyester and Dinamica microfiber upholstery, a suede-like material also derived from recycled polyester.
Initially, Audi South Africa will offer the A3 with a single powertrain: a 1.5-liter 35 TFSI engine with mild-hybrid technology, delivering 110 kW and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission. Sportier derivatives are expected to join the lineup later in 2025.
The A3 range kicks off with the S line trim, offering features like 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, sports seats, and the Audi virtual cockpit. The Black Edition adds black exterior trim elements, black 18-inch wheels, and privacy glass for a more distinctive look.
Official pricing for the 2025 Audi A3 range will be announced in early 2025. All models will come standard with a 5-year/100,000km Audi Freeway Plan, covering comprehensive service and maintenance.
